Beglika 2025: The Generation That Looks Ahead

August 7-10, 2025 | Golyam Beglik Reservoir, Rhodope Mountains

After two years of anticipation, one of Bulgaria’s most sustainable festivals — Beglika Fest — returns for its 15th anniversary with a new vision, energy, and scale. This year’s edition, held under the motto #GenerationBeglika, builds upon the long-standing sense of unity within the Beglika community, human creativity and ingenuity, and shared inspirations that pave the way for future generations.

For four days, the festival will offer a rich program, open to participants who wish to contribute with their own conceptual projects. The highlights include:

International Art Residency. For the first time, Beglika will host a creative space for artists from around the world. Painters, sculptors, stage designers, dancers, and visual artists will have the opportunity to create land art installations and performances that merge with the natural beauty of the Rhodope Mountains. Learn how to apply as an individual artist or as an art collective/organization.

Solaria Forum for young parents with questions and ideas about raising children — both their own and those of the community. Together with experts, participants will explore topics such as family health, childbirth, parenting, and education. Additionally, 5% of each ticket’s value will support the development of the project. Register for participation through the application form.

Musical Offerings. Traditional and contemporary sounds will once again intertwine at Beglika, featuring kaba bagpipes, ecstatic dances, folk dance gatherings, and open music sessions, where everyone is welcome to join. A major highlight will be the presentation of ORPHEIKA, the festival’s very own label for authentic Bulgarian music and modern ethno folk.

The Collective Spirit program comprises a diverse mix of visual, musical, and theatrical experiences, community initiatives, educational formats, games, workshops, personal development practices, and other open-source creative activities. Apply to be part of the program here.

Play. Create. Be!

The project is carried out with the financial support of the National Culture Fund.
