The Sculpture Synchronicity by Radoslav Sultov — the Only Bulgarian Participant at Artiade — Has Returned to Bulgaria

Aruna PR Advisory

Today, the artwork Synchronicity, created by the Bulgarian sculptor Radoslav Sultov, landed at Sofia Airport. The piece traveled over 14 000 kilometers with financial support from the National Culture Fund and was the sole representative of Bulgaria at the prestigious international exhibition Artiade – Olympics of Art in New York.

Considered the cultural equivalent of the Olympic Games, Artiade brought together works by 97 artists from 53 nations. The third edition of the exhibition was held in November in Long Island City, with a 4 000-square-meter exhibition space showcasing the diversity and scale of contemporary global art.

The sculpture Synchronicity (50x47x36 cm) participated in the event by personal invitation from the organizers who were impressed by the creative interpretation of the connection between time, space, and consciousness. Created in 2017, the artwork represents a multi-layered labyrinth inspired by the idea that coincidences are not random events but the result of profound interactions linking us to the vastness of the universe.

Through his participation in Artiade, Radoslav Sultov reinforced Bulgarian sculpture’s position on the international stage. Back in 2017, Synchronicity captivated the visitors at an exhibition organized by the Chinese Sculpture Institute in Wuhu, China. The next stage in the sculpture’s journey will be its transformation into patinated metal, adding new depth to its impact.
