‘Wild Animals in the City II’ — a Book with a Cause

Following the interest the first ‘Wild Animals in the City’ sparked and becoming one of the best publications to represent Bulgaria at the Frankfurt Book Fair, Elena Pavlova and Milena Radeva keep making the effort to (re-)educate young and old about the ways to save life around us — not only at Christmas but throughout the year.

The second part of the book acquaints parents and their children with various birds and amphibians that we still meet in the puffing urban environment and are frequently in need of adequate help because of the amassing plastics, the air pollution, the overbuilding and deforestation. The book proceeds will be donated once again to partner organizations which also fight for the life of the wild animals in the cities.

The 100+ pages of the ‘Wild Animals in the City’ are packed with useful information laid out in the form of the wildlings’ personal stories, practical tips about how to provide them with first aid or simply not get in their way, good examples from Bulgaria of how little it takes to be big and a myriad of lively illustrations that compliment the beauty and the significance of the small creatures around us — not only at Christmas but throughout the year.
